Huge congratulations to Ben Alcorn who has been named the British water polo league player of the season for 2019-2020.

This prestigious award is not just made to the person who is judged possibly as the best player, but to the individual who reflects an outstanding contribution to the club, league and water polo in general.

Ben has worked incredibly hard to become one of the best and most consistent goalkeepers in the UK after starting playing as a junior at the old Aquarena in Worthing. He progressed very quickly playing for club, county and the South of England and he was part of the GB men’s squad that was based at Manchester prior to the 2012 London Olympics.

Ben is now a key member of the coaching team at Worthing and he also continues as the lead coach of the South-east region boy’s squad. His enthusiasm, dedication and hard work have been recognised with this award which is very much deserved.
